Sony DVP-C660 5 Disc DVD Player Review
The DVP-C660 is a 5-disc DVD/CD changer from Sony. It's a mid-level player that includes a healthy feature set and a host of connectivity options. The step-up DVP-C670D includes a built-in Dolby Digital decoder and the company's proprietary Digital Image Enhancer, neither of which is found in the C660.The DVP-C660's full array of connections makes it a potential mate for almost all types of TVs - from those with component video inputs down to those with only a composite video input. This player features two composite video outputs, two S-video outputs, one set of component video outputs, a coaxial digital audio output, an optical digital audio output and an analog stereo audio output. The DVP-C660 doesn't skimp on the bells and whistles. Among the proprietary Sony technologies found here is SmoothScan, which gives you a smoother, less jerky image during forward and reverse scanning. Sony also includes Custom Parental Control, with which you can prevent your kids from watching any DVD, regardless of its MPAA rating.
